A couple of Ice Out Update notes. First, I’m setting the final for date for Entires at April 12, 2020. Second, the prize for the winner will be a $100 gift certificate valid at either the Trestle Pine Knives store OR the TSA Knives Store. Winners choice. Third, if you prefer, email your entry to me at greg@trestlepineknives.com. Remember, I need a date, Time of day CST and a name. And finally, I’m setting up a blog post that will show the entries as they come in.
When I mentioned the contest to Erin at TSA Knives she jumped at the chance to get involved. We decided the easiest way to do it was to make the gift certificate redeemable at either of our websites. Who knows, if the two of us put our heads together there could even be a second place prize. Maybe a couple rolls of Charmin TP or something equally valuable! Both of us are as stressed out as the rest of you and need to have a little fun.
Now, here’s the ice conditions. We’re just seeing the ice start to push up a bit along the shore. I’m not sure of the ice depth, but fisherman are still going out on their ATV’s and conditions are good for fishing.

Temperatures have been reaching the mid 40’s top mid 50’s during the day and staying close to or above freezing at night. That looks to be the trend for most of the week with maybe a little rain or snow. Rain can really deteriorate the ice quickly if we get any quantity. (which I don’t see happening this week)
So send your entries to me at greg@trestlepineknives.com before the April 12 cutoff!!! Remember, in the event of two competing entries, first in takes precedence.
