As of Friday, November 22, 2019, TSA Knives, LLC is under new ownership! After nearly 16 years I decided to move on and pass the torch to someone else. Erin McGlynn, her husband Pat and daughter Katie have taken charge and I wish them nothing but the very best.
They had come in with me earlier this Fall to dabble a bit in the knife business and get a feel for what it was all about. It didn’t take long and they expressed an interest in buying the business.
It didn’t take long to make up my mind as I can’t think of better hands to take the reins. As I shared previously, I’ve known Erin since she was an infant. My wife and I think of her and her sisters (AND her parents) as being as close as you can get without actually being family. They’re great people and the entire family is outdoors oriented.
Erin will no doubt bring some new ideas and products to the business. Like me, we’re constantly dreaming up new ideas and possibilities. Her advantage is she’s not set in her ways, is still wiling to listen and just a lot nicer person then me! You’ll enjoy working with her.
I’ll be forwarding emails and calls related to TSA Knives to Erin and you can see her contact info on the tsaknives.com webpage.
Sorry for the infrequent blog posts of late. It’s been a busy Fall getting things in order to transfer ownership of the business. Going forward, I’m going to continue with the TSAK Blog. There will occasionally be a little collaboration between Erin and I.
I’ll also mention that I’m not completely going away. I’m opening a new web store under the Trestle Pine Knives name. It’s going to be a week or two before its up and running. When its opened, you’ll find some Trestle Pine Knives as well as products from Helle, Karesuando, Hults Bruk and more. The products will include knives, hatchets, axes, throwing knives and axes and god only knows what else. I promise I’ll try to keep it interesting!!! I’ll post more info as we go.
