I’m looking in the back of some drawers and I just came across a gem. There were a couple actually, but the 2006 Northfield Stag Pioneer wins the prize.

If you’re relatively new to GEC, the 23 and 73 were the basis for Great Eastern’s success. The 23 was a big workhorse and the early stags had notoriously thick slabs of stag. This one is a prime example.

The picture doesn’t really give you the real sense of just how thick that stag is. At the widest point it measures an even 1 inch thick. It’s rare to see stag that thick in recent years. Very nice knife in new condition in the original tube.
