Jan Carter at Ikc was kind enough to forward the link with the info on the upcoming Queen liquidation sale date. It’s scheduled for 10AM, June 1, 2019 in Titusville, PA. This is the link if you want to check it out. Queen Liquidation Sale

There are lots of photos at the web link of the different lots of items for sale. It appeared to be a lot of ‘stuff’ that will have limited interest unless you’re seriously into knife making. Now, as an auction ‘attendee’, it’s always interesting to see what treasures are in the bottom of some of the boxes of odds and ends. More then once I’ve purchased a box of stuff I was interested in only to find something in the box that was worth more then the rest of the junk.
As an addendum to the previous paragraph, after going through the list of the lots, there may be more items of interest then I originally thought. If you go to the “Catalog” PDF, it gives a better listing of what the boxes contain. There are also a fair number of historic items that will be in the auction such as display cases, pictures, etc. This could be an interesting auction to attend!
I didn’t do any research to see if the sale would include the tang stamps/trade names/trade marks, etc. It’ll be interesting to me to see who ultimately ends up with the rights to carry the name forward. If you get a chance to attend the auction, I’d be interested to hear from you.
June 1st will be a sad day for the knife community, and a sad ending for a great old knife company that has weathered its share of hardships over a long history.
All good things come to an end, and this is one of them.
My biggest concern is that Jim Frost will pick up the name and add it to his stable: knives of the living dead.
