Saturday was a great day for spending time with friends new and old. I am always impressed with the quality of people at these shows. Having the GEC and Daniels Family side by side has been a wonderful experience. I realized last night after looking at what I put on that I did not tell ya’ll about the special #33 Elk that was done for the show. So it is a #33 Elk with a bail, comes with a GEC sleeve and a special box. The box is laser engraved with the GEC logo. So here are some pics of that and also the rest of the GEC table. Have a good day, some of you need to stay dry and safe please.
Good Morning everyone. Greg Thanks for the kind words. Let’s talk about day 1 at the blade show!!
We got up here on Thursday afternoon, took a few moments to rest up and headed out to lunch with Ryan and Courtney Daniels.Heard some delicious news that I will allow Greg to share, saw Courtneys newest project, only 7 weeks from being born and generally just had a wonderful afternoon. Back to the room and then out with Pat and Chris for dinner. Pat looks wonderful and was certainly back to his jovial self. Showed us some pics of the Percheron Horses he visited. He was there on the day the horses all seemed to be delivering colts. You will have to ask to see his pics, beautiful horses. Chris is excited, this is her first Blade show and she is looking forward to putting some faces to the names of people she she has been speaking with for so long. Back to the room and the phone rings again. One of our own from right here on TSA, Mr. Sean Walker drove up from TX to be here with us for the adventure. Needless to say we were up until about 1am, talking knives and laughing the whole time. Seems we share a passion for many of the same knives and people involved in the industry.
Opening day was a BLAST. Some good folks everywhere. Here is what the line looked like at opening of the VIP time (noon)
First stop was of course the booth being share by GEC and Daniels Family this year. Got Some pics of the folks that had the same idea LOL. Took one look at the only Percheron left (the went FAST) and decided Donnie had to have the two blade beauty Greg is right this material is the BOMB! So here he is, holding up his 2012 Blade show beauty
