Its long overdue and finally today I posted a Trestle Pine Knives website update. I’ve had a few requests to complete the listing of Trestle Pine knives and this was a start.
Basically, I cleaned things up, got rid of broken links and, ….well, really just started over with the website. You’ll find a photo of each of the patterns and a brief description. As time allows, I’d like to add a bit more info for those interested and this is a start.
With the demise of Queen Cutlery, the Trestle Pine folders are out of production. I’ve considered a few other options to continue the line but the flexibility Queen offered just isn’t available with other manufacturers.
For the time being, I do plan to continue the fixed blade “Buddy”. I have another hundred blades ready to be finished and just haven’t decided how I want them handled. Interest was great for the old growth wood but the knives finished with some of the exotics sold extremely well. The main problem is finding an adequate quantity of high quality premium woods.
It all takes time to come together and later this summer I’ll make some decisions. The Koa wood is outstanding as is the Mango. The Koa can get pretty expensive and the loss rate can be high. There are just so many possibilities to consider.
For now, hope you find the new Trestle Pine Knives website a bit more informative and easier to navigate.
