Every now and then someone asks me a question I assume everyone knows the answer to. Do I take special orders. Short answer is yes.
I’m not talking about Early Orders for GEC knives. What I’m referring to are special orders for products I don’t carry in the store. It might be for a product I previously carried in the store and is out of stock or I may have discontinued.
This week a customer responded to my post on measuring ‘pull’ and was interested in one of the Fallkniven Gentleman’s Pocket Knives. That’s a knife I really like and let run out of stock. No excuses, I just overlooked reordering more. (more coming in next week).
This year I had an organization place a special order for around $900 worth of miscellany. It included knives I don’t carry, sharpening stones, gun cleaning kits, etc. They had a fund raiser coming up and needed door prizes that were a little out of the ordinary.
A number of years ago I started selling a few Zippo Lighters in the store. I’d had great results selling them at Gun Shows with the Case, Colt, S&W and other outdoor logos. I started offering them in the store and almost immediately received two special orders for Zippo’s to be given away as gifts for the best men at weddings.
So if you’re looking at something I don’t carry in the store, don’t be afraid to ask. If you’re club or organization is looking for door prizes, awards, etc, just ask and I’ll be glad to do what I can.
