I just listed the Brazilian Cherry 97 Allegheny knives a few minutes ago. Honestly, I think this is one of the nicer looking Beavertails I’ve seen in a while. The color of the Brazilian Cherry is a nice brown that just seems to work on this big knife.
I haven’t used one of these personally but I’m still liking the size. With the long pull and the slightly less need for an aggressive pull, I think GEC got it right this time. There’s a jigged bone coming yet and then it’s on to the Northfields.
Going forward, I should have enough pins to put one in with each knife. GEC usually puts one in about every third or fourth tube. As a result, 70-80% of you get a knife but no pin. I’ve put in a standing order for pins for each and every knife and hopefully, that will solve the problem.
