I really want to get out to more shows as they never disappoint. This weekend a good customer showed up with a C&S Cutlery Knax for trade. I had to get my hands on this gem as, well…. I’ve never owned a Knax! Actually, I’ve never even seen on.
I put together a brief video but just a short explanation about the Knax. There’s not a lot of info out there about the C&S Cutlery Knax. Made in the 1980’s the company apparently had a very brief run. This was made to be a combination Knife and Axe, thus the name “Knax”.
Weighing over a pound and a half, the top even had an anvil like portion of the blade included to facilitate splitting wood, bone or what have you. It was truly built to be the ultimate survival tool.
It is missing the original sheath but the homemade sheath that comes with it is about as unique as the tool. The sheath is heavy duty with a pouch for a sharpening stone and will no doubt last as long as the knife.
Overall it has to be one of the more unique pieces I’ve come across in a while.
